The connection to the server has failed. Account:xxx Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 10061,Error Number: 0x800CCC0E"
I received this error today,cannot send or receive emails; since my mcafee firewall expired I uninstall the programm, dowloaded another free "zonealarm + avast antivirus.
I called my provider and they told me it must be with the settings, I tried with unabling both programms but it does'nt work;Thanks for your help;

The first step is to make sure that your mail server settings are correct.

thanks for your quick answer , I didn't touch the setting of my mails and yesterday everything was working perfectly;

That's not exactly what I said - I didn't ask if you changed anything; I said to make sure they are correct. Many AV (& possibly some firewall) programs change the mail account settings. They sometimes temporarily pass through a temporary location where the scanning occurs.
