error msg copying files from CD

Has anyone come across the following error msg before. Cannot copy 'filename' incorrect paramaters. It is happening when I try and copy various files from a CD to another folder. The first 30 of the files copy fine but after that I just get that msg whether i try and copy them en masse or individually. The files will not open either. They are a variety of diff file types - word docs, excel, jpgs etc.

Does it mean that the disk is corrupt?

It may do - or it might just be drive on your machine is having problems with CD (have you another machine you can try it on)?

Yes - same thing happens at another machine.

Then would suggest the CD is corrupt.
