This is the error message I'm getting when I try to Backup with BackExec 9:

I'm unable to backup for the last few days. I try differnet tapes, reformat tapes, cleaning the head and reboot the tape drive. Thanks in advance.

Right click on My Computer icon, select Manage. Go to Device Manager. Find the Tape Devices. Are your tape drives listed? If not use Control Panel>Add/Remove Hardware to find new hardware.

If they are listed, go to Services. Stop all Backup Exec services and restart them.

Did any of that help?

SQLBill, thanks for the advice but I'm still unable to get the drive to mount. the drive status is still offline. I'm using NT4.

Have you tried reloading the drivers?

Have you tried rebooting your drives?
