When I boot up my PC i get the following 2 messages. If I click on OK they go away and I am alright. These began after a botched attempt to network my PC with laptop.
Could someone please suggest how to fix this so when i switch on...i can expect all to start and go online auto while i go grab a coffee and not have to hang around....
(Using Win 98 SE)

Network Peer Services
You have chosen user level security but you have not specified a server where user and group lists are stored. Open Control Panel, Double click the network icon, and then click access control. Next, specify the name of the server and click OK
(I tried this but it didnt work)

Microsoft Networking
The following error occured while loading protocol number 0. Error 254

Thanks Smitee....it worked...however 1st error still appears....help me someone.

Also can I upgrade to Win XP (Prof Edition) while this error exists?

HI
1. Open Control Panel,
Double click the network icon,
OR
right click on the NetworkNeighbourhood
Click on properties
2. and then click access control
3. Now instead of user level security...
Select the other option and not the user level option.
SAVE and restart.

You will not be asked thes questions again. ramani :-9
