Sorry here is the resolution that I found:
You will need to go into the conf file (/etc/webalizer.conf by default)
you'll need to uncomment the line
DNSCache /var/lib/webalizer/dns_cache.db
a bit lower you'll need to adjust the DNS children
DNSChildren 5
then run
webazolver
webalizer
of course it's all a moot point if you not running a webserver & you
don't need stats. In which case you can take it out of cron.daily
