I am trying to install a Unix 3.2.4 into a faster machine with a larger hard drive. I can install Unix y2k patchaes and my application but when I reatore the data i start getting this message.
Notice:clalloc - No space on EAFS dev hd (1/40)
Can anyone tell me how to resolve the problem?
Thanks

hi,

1/40 is your root filesystem . Basically you need more space.

How big was your original root filesystem ?
How big have you created the new root partition ?
How are you doing your restore ?

If you haven't set root to be big enough then , you'll have to redo everything i.e. divvy the disk , install os etc ..

HTH

I just used the defaults for the root partition, and I am using the Cpio command to restore.
