I've installed the Lotus Notes 5.0.10 client for a new user today. I've completed the installation and created the connection document. Whenever I try to access the new user's mail database Lotus creates an error. The message reads, "The Doc Link database cannot be found." I've seen this message before, but cannot remember what the fix is.

Please help.

I'm going to research now.

Thanks in advance,

Ben (SMO6)

P.S. FYI, the user does have a .id file. ;)

Have you configured the location doc to point to the correct mail file and on the correct mail server? What happens when you click on the Mail Bookmark icon - does it open the correct database? You may hve to recreate bookmarks.nsf by closing Notes, deleting the file and then starting Notes again. The message is probably coming from trying to fill out the Welcome page.

Problem solved. The admin didn't add the user to the ACL when creating the new user. DOH!

Thanks anyway,

Ben (SMO6)
