Hi can anyone help me, I have created an insert record form however whenever i click on the submit button i get the following error mesage and i cannot see what i am doing wrong. I have also created an update record form and this works fine using the same table in the same database

Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers error '80040e14'

[Microsoft][ODBC Microsoft Access Driver] Syntax error in INSERT INTO statement.

/MCTestInsert.asp, line 115

That error message provides little information. Just keeping picking at it - like a puzzle you will see the answer. If you have to, delete the behavior, make sure your html is clean, then redo the behavior. Look for data mismatches between your database and the insert form (too long, wrong type, null values not accepted etc.).

Make sure your field names match between your page and the DB - or at least that they are connected properly.

Ranj is correct - it is a case of reserved name fields. "Never underestimate the power of determination"
