Hi,

running Windows XP Pre Sp3 on a dell XPS 710 with an

Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Quad CPU @ 2.66GHz Processor,
2.60 GHz processor speed,
4096 MB RAM.

When opening a video file I receive the following error message

AppName: explorer.exe AppVer: 6.0.2900.5512 ModName: avscodecs.dll
ModVer: 1.0.0.12 Offset: 0032da82

Can anyone help

Thank you

You may have to reinstall the following app, if you still use it: AVSPEED - iConf SDK

if you have deinstalled that app, then you should check your ActiveX plug-ins and delete the following files:

AVSIconfServerLib.ocx
AVSIConfClientLib.ocx

if you can't delete, then deactivate it...

avscodecs.dll is not a file that the iConf SDK installs.

The iConf SDK installs avscodec.dll (note the file name) which is only being used by the iConf SDK and is not used to play video files.

avscodecs.dll is an avsmedia file and has nothing to do with the iConf SDK.

AVSPEED, Inc.

gsiry001 - Thank you for clearing that up, it was my mistake for getting those mixed up...

here my correction:

Uninstall or Reinstall the AVSVideoConverter...
