Error Message: server error. CrystalEnterprise.Smtp:

Any ideas what this message is resulting from on Crystal Enterprise 10? I have no documentation for configuring the server so copied a dev pc but where that one works, this one gives me the error message 'Error Message: server error. CrystalEnterprise.Smtp: ' when I am attempting to send a report via mail.

I went through the programjobserver and reportjobserver where I enabled both with the same settings as our old server (and the dev server) but the message still appears.

Anyone have any insight on this? These are the instance properties :
Status: Failed

Printer: The instance is not printed.

External Destination: Mail the instance to " ITCPhil@Blabla.gc.ca " with a subject of " Monthly Wan Perimeter Client (M_O_NHQ_WAN_PERIMETER_SUPPORT_CLIENT) ".

Data Refresh Settings: Use the server defaults.

Start Time: 06/12/2005 3:41:08 PM

End Time: 06/12/2005 3:41:11 PM

Server Used: mnap141.reportjobserver

I should have posted that I restarted both services from the crystal management console and not on the server itself as I have no access to it. Is that something I should consider?
 
Once you enable the Email destination, click on EMail and it gives you options to setup the Email SMTP.

Your SMTP properties are stored here.

Once you do that for destinations and job server, restart both servers and it should work.
 
I had done that yesterday, no go... I restarted the services on the CMC... should I have the box restarted to see if that will help?
 
This one is fixed, had to get myself added to the smtp relay service.
