error message related to mscvrt.dll

During installation of my program, the following error message appears:

"C:\WINDOWS\system32\msvcrt.dll

The destination file in-use. Please insure that all other applications are closed......."

I have been writing VB6 programs for some time now and have never encoutered this error message before.

Does anyone have any suggestions for resolving this problem?

Did you make sure that you closed other apps before you tried installing again? Try installing right after a reboot, before launching any other programs. If neither of those solutions work, try cancelling/closing programs in your task tray.
