error message on start up

Hi I have just done a re-install of xp and now when it starts I have 2 messages that windows cannot find setup exe. I think it is from the scanner setup disk as it will not work due to drivers being too old. I have no idea how to find and delete reg settings for this.

hkey local machine\software\microsoft\windows\current version\run (or perhaps run once).

Thanks for that great tip. The file was not in that exact location but it got me starting to understand about the reg.
I did a search and found the file and deleated it and all is well now thanks to you.
Just got to sort out a driver to run the the scanner and it is all systems go.
