I have users using outlook 2000 on w2k machines. My exchange server is 5.5. When users close outlook they get an error message ' you do not have sufficient priveleges to modify current configuration' If I grant user power users rights to local machine error message does not appear. What is happening. I do not want my users to have local power user rights

HI.

One solution is to apply a security template.

Start - Run
secedit.msc (or something like that)

Now apply the security template called compatws (Compatible WorkStation) or something like that.
It will modify security configuration to make it similar to Win NT4 Wks, and this can solve your problem.

This must be done on a test workstation and then on each W2Pro machine that have this problem.

Better read more about "secedit" before implementing, I don't remember the exact details.

Bye
