Upon closing my database, the following message pops up -Table 'TempMSysAccessObjects' already exists. Can anyone help.

This person shouldn't be a member. Take a look at it's profile. The worst I've seen in 6 month's membership.

Don't waste your time on this one.

That doesn't look like an ordinary temporary table name. It appears that you're trying to create this table on exit for some reason. Search your Form_Close event procedures for this.

If it really is a temporary table, it should go away when you compact, but that still doesn't explain why it's being created at close time.

If it's not a temporary table, turn on the options to view Hidden and System Objects if necessary, and delete the table from the database window.

Dear RickSpr,

I can't believe you actually answered this one. It!

I was thinking recently of asking your permission to use you're FAQ suggestion for the best answers in my own signature. That's honest, I have a problem with bad member's.

Blimey, but you even answer them.

Bill

Nqobile,

Bill has noticed that you (1) don't ever reply with a "thank you" to let us know we haven't wasted our time, (2) don't acknowledge that the solution worked, which would help other members find solutions to similar problems, and (3) don't help other members. In short, you're using Tek-Tips purely selfishly. Tek-Tips is meant to be more like a professional association, with give-and-take and sharing of experience. Please try to use it more appropriately.

Bill,

Feel free to use "my" FAQ. Most of it was borrowed from Mike Lacey's anyway.

We posted at about the same time, and I didn't see your warning. Even if I had, Nqobile seems to have the technical expertise to be a contributing member. I'd rather convert "bad" members to good ones with gentle suggestion than to simply shun them until they go away. I don't think the latter works very well anyway. (This isn't to say I don't skip over such members' posts, because I often do, but I tend not to look at the member's stats if the question is reasonable and clearly expressed.)

Hi RickSpr,

I agree, I agree,

Get's my goat up though when I see people like this who can't say please or thanks, gosh(being nice) not even in their current question, before they get an answer.

Thanks, will refer to your FAQ possibly from tonight, don't know who Mike Lacey is though.

Anyway, just hope no-one helps this person until they can say thanks to all the members that helped them before.

Like Tek-Tips, it doesn't cost anything to be nice.

Ladies and Gentlemen,

May I extend my sincerest apologies to all for being such an ill-mannered and selfish person. Judging by the comments, no explanation may be good enough (apart from me being remorseful of my actions),but may I say a few things.

I accept that I have overlooked finding out how things on this site worked ,a friend of mine just said it was a good site if I had problems I could not find answers to...It is a good site indeed.

I did not know that I was expected to reasonably contribute back....will try to.

I acknowledge that I have progressed well with my work, through your help.

My connection to the internet is sometimes very slow such that some operations are sometimes aborted.

All in all, i'll learn to be selfless and mannered with your help.
