I'm getting a error message of "not enough memory" when trying to add a new appointment into the calendar on outlook 2002. All accounts are connected to the Exchange 2000 server and nothing is kept local on the drive of the workstation. I only seem to be getting this error message on 1 particular email account all other accounts seem to be working fine. We are also using web outlook and when we try to add an event from there, everything is fine. Everything shows up and populates to the desktop and the IPAQs. The error only seems to happen when we try to add an event directly into the desktop outlook 2002. Can anyone help me with this problem or have seen it before?

thanks

I would say that I have never used Outlook through the web, but I have had a similar issue with adding rules.

I could not add them as the user had reached their mailbox limit.

At least that could be something to check.

Thanks for the tip, unfortunitly, the mailboxes do have any limits set on them yet. Planning to do that at a later time. Also may mention that this particular mailbox has been rolled from a Palm to an IPAQ and during the process the calendar part of the roll to outlook failed. Hope that help. Keep those suggestions coming they are greatly appreciated.

I'm sorry statement above is incorrect. The mail boxes do NOT have any limits on them.

thanks

What I would do is to backup all the data in the mailbox to a .pst file.

Delete the Exchange mailbox and setup a new one. Test the mailbox by adding test appointments, tasks, etc and when you are happy then use exmerge to draw the the data out of the pst and back into the new mailbox.

Could be that the failed process of the Palm corrupted the mailbox.

Thanks Nzarth: I've tried everything else and was going to use that as a last resort. Just as a note though, it did work.

thanks again for your help and good luck on your CCNA test. Would like to chat with you about adding VPN to our concentrator 3000 can't get the two boxes to talk to each other. And having a hard time finding Cisco people in this city. If intrested in chatting about that email me at wgc@tarltoncorp.com. I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks again

Office programs like outlook do require virtual memory. First, I'd try increasing the page file size. If that doesn't work...

When you add an appointment to a calendar, an event fires that reads through all the items in your calendar and builds a new free/busy message, which is sent to the public free/busy forlder. If you have a lot of items in the calendar, that alone can cause the issue.
