Hi,

I'm using AE 6 Pro with a new dual Xeon (3 GHz, with 2 GB RAM) set-up (Dell Precision 650). I have not used a dual processor system before. When I was working with a 3D image shatter plug-in (Continuum Complete) I kept getting an error message:

"BFX API Error
The handle is invalid
MultiProcessor.cpp
231"

Any clues? Thanks.

Yes. I can't find the email right now, but I remember that what they shared didn't help. Then I discovered that many people are having trouble with the openGL plugin in AE, so I removed it and now I don't get the error message anymore (I also don't have openGL support in AE anymore...)

Hi,
I recently reconstructed some graphic workstations using ASUS PC-DL motherboard (Dual Xeon 2GB RAM and Win2000). We take the opportunity to upgrade from AE5.5 and Boris AE to AE 6.0 and Boris Continuum Complete.

I get the :

"...handle is invalid
Multiprocessor.cpp
231"

At the beginning, I was affraid it could be caused by my particular motherboard, using a "P4" chipset (i875p). A search on the net bring me to your post (and this interresting site). It seems we are using similar hardware and software. I suppose your Dell motherboard is using "classic" xeon chipset (7505 or similar)

On the Boris site:
They mention BCC is fully compatible with AE 5.5, but not with AE 6.0 : you have to contact their support to get a patch. We send a request to get this patch and still waiting for it.

Did you install it ? and with what results ?

we are still testing your tip : disable openGL.

I noticed there is a lot of info about AE and openGL on the Adobe site = (this last one mostly about XP, but the troubleshooting procedure can help in win2000 as well). Adobe wrote you must use open GL 1.2 or later version.

Would appreciate any feedback, regards,
