Error Message - MS JET DB Engine cannot open file .....

Not sure if this is where I should be asking this question...

Currently a MS ACCESS2000 database project is replicated and kept on the network (Windows2000). The department just got new computers with WindowsXP and when trying to access the database project they get an error 'MS JET DB Engine cannot open the file...It is already opened and exclusively by another user, or you need permission to view its data'...
Can any point me in the right direction or help me solve this problem? I sure would appreciate it. Thanks!

Look at these possibilities:

1. he XP user is probably being interpreted as an Internet user, and as such will need explicit permissions set for it in the database.

2. The IIS user (who started it) also needs permissions.

3. Try deleting the .ldb file.

The .ldb file disappears on its own when the application is exited.
