Error message during uninstall of SMS agent

I am trying to uninstall SMS 2.0 SP2 from a client running NT4 SP6 but I keep receiving this error message:- 'Could not load the dll library C:\temp\smsclng.dll'
Has anyone seen this before or know of a fix? I need to reinstall the client as the SMS agent is not working. When I try to reinstall over or do a repair it still does not work.

I have received the same error message when trying to uninstall SMS from a couple servers I'm working on. However, I'm using the 20clicln.bat utility with the /SCRUB switch, and it only gives me that error message after I try to uninstall SMS for the first time (immediately after an unsuccessful install). If I run the uninstall utility again, it appears to run smoothly and doesn't return an error message.
I've posted a thread in the Tek-Tips SMS forum, as well as several Microsoft Newsgroups

but haven't received any help so far. Have you tried any other sources? If I can't get this to work in the next couple days, I think my only recourse is to call Microsoft Premier Support.

I get that error message and it doesnt seem to hinder the process. Ive just okayed it, and the client reinstall has worked properly, but i do make sure i delete the old sms registry entries after running 20clicln before i reinstall the client. And everything is fine
