Need some help please. I converted a FoxPro DOS application to FoxPro 7. I get the following message when I run the exe when FoxPro 7 is not running "column or row position is off the screen" I have done google searches but can't find a solution

It sounds as though you are still running the old DOS screens in your new VFP exe.

That error message was typical back in the DOS days when the size of the screen exceeded the DOS-type 80x24 character screen size.

While it certainly takes more conversion time to do so, you will eliminate this type of problem by converting or, possibly re-developing your DOS Screens to VFP Forms.

Good Luck

Carolx,

I have done google searches but can't find a solution

I'm the first agree that Google is a great tool, but you'd have done better consulting the VFP Help file. It would have told you that the error is caused by invalid row or column numbers in an @ command (such as @/SAY or @/GET).

Why not examine the command that is causing the error, and see why the numbers are invalid?

Carolx,

Just throwing this out there; not sure if it will help. I ran into "Position is off the screen" errors in FoxPro 2.6 for Windows that were caused by an old font. I changed all "MS Sans Serif" to "Microsoft Sans Serif" and the errors went away.
