Error installing SP4

Hi all,

Trying to install SP4 on our Commcell. It fails pretty much straight away, telling me it can't install "update 40". If I look in the UpdateInfo.log, it says:

I've tried replacing the dbjobmgr.dll mentioned with the one in the service pack, but the error still occurs. Even if I completely delete the dll and try to run the SP install, it still throws the same error. Any ideas how I can force the SP install to stop checking and getting things wrong, or fix the problem?

Have you run the RemoveUpdates.exe and then reinstalled?

Hi,

Yes, I went all the way back to 'shipping' 6.1 to start again, but it still wouldn't play ball. I eventually got SP4 and later updates installed by manually moving the problem files out of place by renaming them and then running the individual patch setups. It took forever, and it doesn't really solve the problem going forward - something in my installation is screwed up and the version checking is misfiring.

I'm going to move the CommCell manually in a few weeks anyway, so I'll report back here if that clean install does the same thing.
