Error Installing KB960089

Hi All,

I have a Windows Server 2003 R2 SP2 running WSUS with the Windows Internal Database. This server is also a Domain Controller.

I am trying to install the update for KB960089 (a Windows Internal Database update) and it keeps failing. The following errors are what I receive in the event log. I have tried to install manually but I keep receiving the same error.

I'm having the very same problem! did you find out what was causing this?

Yeah I did find what was causing this problem. It came down to user permissions. The user accounts it thinks it should use are no longer available because of it now being a domain controller. A bit of research found the domain accounts it uses instead. I think I also change the Windows Internal Database service to logon as the Administrator account instead of the Network Service account.
