When I install iFolder Professional I get the following error:

"error -4 unable to create file x:\apache\ifolder\documentroute\applet\x:\apache\ifolder\documentroute\applet\java.htm"

The same path error occurs for httpd_additions_nw.conf and ifolder_nav.html.

The install then stops, does anyone know how to fix this??

Thanks

It almost sounds like you have a file in use or something is flaged read only. Try just reinstalling first (easiest fix) Here is a TID from NTS that will help.

Why do user go into a panic when a NetWare server goes down, but accept it as normal when a Windows server goes down?

Thanks for the advice. We have already tried completely rebuilding the server twice.

We have tried Netware 6 with sp1 and sp2 and upgrading from iFolder Standard.

Could this be a problem with the installshield?

Hmm, if the
"x:\apache\ifolder\documentroute\applet\x:\apache\ifolder\documentroute\applet\java.htm"

is what's in the error message and the double directory path is not just a cut/past typo, then I wold say the problem is the installer. Do you get this error from the start or does the install run, then this comes up?

Check INI files, also look for text files in the install files and see if it is something you can fix. Brent Schmidt CNE, Network +

Hi,

We found the problem with this. Moved to a different platform, installed from XP and it worked fine (originally tried from windows 2000).

However, other people have had the same problem with windows xp machines.

The moral of this story is try a different PC Platform if at first you don't succeed.
