Building a new MM with a MSS backend. R5.2. Part 1 of the DCT files runs successfully on the MSS. The DCT file then fails on the MAS with the error listed in the subject. I can ping both servers/local and private. Tried rebooting the servers and re-running the DCT with no sucess. Continues to fail at this point. MAS release is R5.2 {9.2.405.8000} Reloaded both the MSS/MAS from the boot DVDs. MSS 5.2 R12//MAS 5.2 with SP8.

Login to MSS using a craft login
Go to Messaging Administration -> System Administration.
Change LDAP port 389 to "Authenticated or Anonymous"

That should take care of it.

SinKiller... recently had the same issue. The MSS shown the setting Ken recommends already but the install still failed. Check out 'MAS OS' topic for a solution.

If you are building at your office not the customer site could be that you need to assign the DNS IP to the private IP of MAS1.

Thanks guys, just reloading the OS on the MSS/MAS. I will try both suggestions and let you know. Thanks appreaciate it.
