Hello I'm trying to set up sendmail for the first time on my dedicated server. But when I rebuild the sendmail configuration I get an error "m4:/etc/mail/sendmail.mc:18: ERROR: end of file in string" and I dont get past that because I dont know what it means. Can anyone enlighten me on how to solve this?

Best guess without having access to your mc file is that it seems there is a typo of sorts (or invalid char) in line 18 of your sendmail.mc file.

Yes there was. After a very long night of googleling I found that in the lines that are commented out I still need to remove these ' marks. The lines are commented out but for some reason these ' marks make the script fail.
