I did a backup on a DLT 3570 unit on one machine, and took the tape to another machine.
First of all, I started the MERGE function
(Menu Manager --> Utilities --> Merge), to join the tape informations to the Arhserve database on the new machine.
I repetead the procedure several times, and the merge always gives me the same messages:
3803 Invalid file trailer signature. (SIG=signature)
3803 Invalid file trailer signature. (SIG=signature)
It happens always when the merge trys to merge the bigger file to the database (around 13 Gb).
After that, it says the MERGE is complete, but restore doesn´t work.
I substituted DLT Unit and DLT Controler, no results.
Please, help me.
