Hi there,
I'm trying to copy files from my hard disk to a DVD ram disk, but I'm getting an error message saying something along the lines of:

"Error copying file. Access Denied. Make sure the disk isn't write-protected or that the file isn't currently in use."

Of course, the file isn't in use by anything, and the DVD ram is definately not write protected. However, it doesn't happen with all files, some copy just fine. I've tried just about everything (in my limited knowledge) and just can't copy certain files.

What do I do??

Any help and suggestions appreciated!

Thanks in advance,
~Indie

Not sure how to solve the problem, but you may be able to get around the problem.

Put all your files into a .zip file then put the .zip file onto the DVD RAM disk.

Hope this helps you a bit!

Thanks for the reply, Spyderix!

I forgot to mention that I had already tried doing that, hoping it would work, but it does the same thing. I just tried it once again in case, unfortunately to no avail...

Any other thoughts? I urgently need some kind of solution.

something is probably wrong with your DVD Ram, or the software or the drivers or something. Why don't you try to re-install. Also you can cheat the .zip files. Create a .zip file, then goto START|RUN|EDIT.COM then open the zip file and save as "file.jpg" then exit, and try to copy that file. Then when you want to use it after you take it off, then you will have to goto START|RUN|EDIT.COM and save as "file.zip" then exit and open zip file. That too might work. But try re-installing DVD RAM software and or drivers.

Hope this helps!

Is the actuall disk damaged, could be faulty. Try another disk.

Hope this helps!
