Hello everyone,
I'm trying to see why I'm receiving an 50.x FUSER ERROR message is displayed on the HP Deskjet 5 printer’s control panel. I received this printer from one of the departments at my school.
Now, the orginal plan was to replace the fuser from this HP5 printer with another HP Deskjet 5 printer. When this was done, the error appeared again. I already followed the instructions on the HP support webpage. That is I unplugged it for 30 minutes, plugged it directly into the wall. Still the same thing occured. I read something about checking the 'Lassy Fuse Lamp'. I do not have the schematics for this printer. Does anyone know where this lamp is located? It is part of the fuser assembly. I was thinking that it may me somewhere else in the printer and perhaps if it burnt out, I could simply replace it.
Does anyone know where I may obtain a diagram of this printer?
Any assistance would be apreciated.
Thanks
KJ
