Hi guys,

I got a "Error: cannot on socket" error when i launched the backup/Archive/restore program and click on the restore buuton.
It just can't connect to the Master server, but all the backup are okay.

Other servers are okay.... It a Windows environment, one backup LAN...no firewall... using local host file.

Thank for all the helps.

double check what the NetBackup server is set to in the restore tool.

Hi !

Check your Netbackup Registry settings on the Windows Client and try to ping the Client from the Master server.

use the following command whether your bpcd port on the client is working

from the master server

telnet < Client Name > bpcd.

thanks guys. The problem had been solved, it the master server setting issue :)
