I have developed an access DB for our organization. After completion I wanted my users to test the database(which have data entry forms, reports etc). Some of the users didn't have Access and some had an older version. So, my supervisor got the people to install the Access 2003 in all the systems.Mine has Windows XP and theirs Windows 2000.

The problem is - when I try to execute a query on the form, it shows the following error message -

"Your xxxx database or project contains a missing or broken reference to the file 'OWC10.DLL' version 1.1
In order for your database or project to work properly you must fix this reference."

But the program works fine on my system.

The References under Tools is disabled on their systems.

I have been searching online from a long time - but unable to find a solution. Could anyone please help with this.

Thanks

You have probably got a reference to a missing library. In this case it is probably the 'Office XP Web Components'. To fix this:

Log into your DB.
Click on one of your forms.
Press Alt-F11 to launch the code editor.
Click on tools
Select References
Look through the list of references til you come to the "Missing: Office XP Web Components" library (it should be ticked).
Uncheck it.
Log out of all open DBs and then log back into the problem one.

The problem should be fixed.
