I used to have a document that showed the processes that the definity went through to resolve errors/alarms... it was pretty informative and told how the system would see a problem, and perform the proper process to attempt to fix the problem..if it didn't fix it, it would up the ante and try something a little more severe...

does anyone have that document, or know where I can find a current one?.. I have scoured my documents and the AVAYA web site...no luck

thanks in advance.

not really..it was more of a quick reference....tries this 3 times, then escalates... it was an AVAYA document, I think..

for example, a memory leak would be a level one reset...try 3 times..then go to a level 2 if not resolved...and so on up to level 4.

That sounds like the maintenance pages...
do you have your documentation cd?
in the maintenance portion it has all the diffrent types of alarms and how to proceed to fix them with escalation procedures per alarm

this was more of an automated process...what the switch does to try to clear alarms, not a manual process.
