Hi

Any offers on why this is happening:

"Error8602 - failed to read from database - (DBNAME.... EC=Server name:backup agent error (406)VDI Message: The API was waiting and the timeout interval elapsed"

Sounds like there is an issue with the SQL agent license. When does it expire?

Nothing to do with the licence.

Basically the agent was trying to put SQL into backup mode but after issuing the API call it never received a response.

A quick fix to this is usually to stop and restart the SQL Agent. A problem similar to this may be fixed in the lastest patch level for 11.1 - so it's worth giving it a go, bearing in mind you are running 11.1 totally unpatched:

Rememeber to apply to the host server and any remote agents.
