Error # 732

I am trying to set up a VPN from a NT BDC. It hangs when registering the computer on the network, and then returns the error "TCP/IP CP reported error 732: The PPP negatiation is not converging".

Curiously, when I try the same VPN from a workstation, everything works fine. (and all dial up properties are identical).

Does anyone have any idea where I could be going worng??

For the sake of reference - here is how I solved my problem.

I reloaded the computer from scratch twice and still had the same problem - so I used a second computer and loaded that one in an identical maner. The second one worked - so the problem must be hardware based somehow.
