Error 633

Receive error 633 (The modem is in use or is not
configured properly.) when attempting to use dial-up
networking.
The query modem function in device manager is able to
communicate with the modem as it hyperterminal.
Neither the telephon.ini nor the tapiini.exe file exist
on the system. Have I missed a required component ?
Anyone please help me to obtain Error 633 Repear Tool, or advice me how to fix this problem.
As I have two OS installed on my PC , same Modem works on OS 98 SE without any problems, but on XP Pro SP3 when attempt to connect receiving Error 633.
Before I haven't this problem and have no idea what causes this.
In Device Manager re Modem all looks O.K. and is stated "This Device is working properly" but.....

Has this just started happening, is it something you can correct via System Restore?

Try clean boot , nothing change.
Only one thing works- Boot in Safe Mode and use Last Good Configuration that works.
With this option all connections – Modem 56k and ADSL works without any problem, but when try to boot in Normal Mode, my PC reboot always as Last Good Configuration.
With this option other problems start appearing like browsing , Security control and I lost “Stand By” option in Start-Turn off computer. Desktop appearance also changed, so I returned to previous configuration using Acronis Recoveri.
As I have ADSL through which I can connect to the Net without any problem, I can support this loss via Modem connection, but I am curious what and why caused this , because before connection through Modem works and now- not.
Another question is why after booting in Safe Mode with my last good working configuration, I can not reboot in “Normal Mode” anymore, when going out from Safe mode.

You're welcome. You lost me a little bit with your interpretation of Safe Mode, perhaps you were just talking about the Options available to you when you press F8 at Bootup?

Regarding Safe Mode I've used Last Known Good Configuration
as option- normaly after pressing F8 at Bootup and in this option problem with Error 633 disappered, but other problems , as described in my previous post, start.
The most strange thing was impossibility to boot in Normal Mode again ,as my PC always boot with configuration as in" Last Known Good Configuration", so I was forced to return back using my Backup Image files.
Obviously problem with Error 633 was created from Corrupted Registry.
