i have just bought a storagetek L20 firmware 2.12 and it is seen correctly in Arcserve and the backups seem to run but when you do an inventory on the slots you get a ...

6300 Windows NT SCSI PORT Error

The Library continues but some of the tape names dont show up when the inventory is finished also getting barcode errors

Sounds like your hardware config is bad, put it in this query for me to look at. General rule, if hardware compression is not disabled in the application, one drive per bus, if disabled and you accept the knock on effects of bus resets, you can have two per bus. >More is just simply dangerous to your media and data. If you don´t know why, you should start reading some good books about streaming with regard to non-streaming, fast!!
