I am receiving "Error 619: The specified port is not connected" when I try to establish a VPN connection using the Microsoft VPN adapter.

I am running Windows 2000 with all service packs and updates. This started happening after I installed a Cisco PIX 501 on my network. I am guessing there is some sort of default port blocking that is interfering with the VPN connection, however, I cannot seem to figure out how/what to enable in the PIX's PDM to get this to work.

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Ian

If you are passing IPSec traffic throug the PIX you need a static translation and you also need to open UDP port 500 and protocol 50.

If you are passing PPTP traffic through the PIX you will need a static translation and you will also need to open TCP 1743 and protocol 47.

Hope this helps.
