Hi, I'm an italian Clarion programmer with
a big (for me) trouble using Clarion for windows 2.0.
When my application start and read a great clarion file ( almost 4 GigaBytes ),after a few reading record(6 or 7) I show error "error 36 - Invalid data file" ;
i've already tried recompilating the application in 32-bit (it was 16-bit before),opening the file in different mode (read, read/write, using the 22h flag in the OPEN instruction), but now we're at the fruits .....

Hoping an answer, thanks to all the good readers !

Marco

There is a documented 2gig limit to TPS files and many operating systems have a single file size limit as well; 2-4gig. I do not see how you have a TPS file of the size 4gig. If you have reched this limit your only choice is to reduce the size, possibly by removing the oldest non-used entries which have been saved elsewhere to an archive.

Thank a lot for your answer. I thought that this was the problem. I hoped that the problem was different.

Bye Marco
