When I try to insert a picture in Outlook Express 5.5 I get this error

Error 195: "undefined" is null or not an object.

Anyone know how I can fix this error besides upgrading to MSIE 6

This is an know issue and the only real solution is to upgrade to IE6 but as a workaround:
To avoid this problem, configure Microsoft Word as your e-mail editor:

1. In Outlook, click Options on the Tools menu.

2. Click the Mail Format tab, and then click to select "Use Microsoft Word
to

edit e-mail messages".

3. Click Apply, and then click OK.

You can now insert .gif files into your e-mail messages.

I'd love to do this but in Outlook Express there is no Mail format tab, and I cannot find an option to use MS Word to edit messages anywhere else in the preferences. I think that applies only to Outlook and not OE )=

Okay,
Can you try this in internet explorer:
Tools/Options/Security
You have probably chosen 'Restricted sites zone'. Change to 'Internet zone',
and inserting pictures works fine. Dont't ask me why. Suggest you change
back to 'Restricted...' afterwards though.

Ok thanks that did the trick!
Yes, I have custom settings, and changing the 'allow paste operation via script' from disabled to enable allows the graphics to be inserted in the emails now. I will just turn it on and off when I need to use this function.

Many thanks!
