I get a error 160 runtime error when I try to write to my printer. I am running Turbo Pascal 7.0 on a Toshiba 4010CDS laptop. The printer is an EPSON C40UX. I am a novice so I need some help diagnosing and fixing the problem. Thanks.
OK I haven't written Pascal for about 10 years, do you have any clue as to what Error 160 might be?
Also, do you have any problems printing from other applications such as Word or somesuch.
Which operating system are you using?
Is the printer local or shared on a network?
If it's on a network, does the printer work for other users?
The error message reads 'DOS encountered a hardware error while trying to write to device' That's all. I am running Windows 98. I use the printer at home so I am the only user.
