Hi Forum,

Mercator 6.7
Solaris 8

Just a quick question: what is Error 146, "IO Error- AddRunEntry() Failure"?

We are getting this, when calling another map via RUN:

VALID(RUN(....),
FAIL("(" +LASTERRORCODE() + "):" + LASTERRORMSG()))

Any idea, why this happens or what it is and how to prevent this? I cannot find any hint in the documentation.

Thanks in advance

Christian

Hi eyetry,

no log file is written. It looks like, the map is not executed, when this error occures.

Best regards

Christian

could you show a more complete example of your run statment? I'm not a Unix person but I know there are others that monitor this forum

Hi Forum,

thanks for your support - the problem is solved (maybe it is the solution, maybe it is just a workaround, but it is running stable now):

In the 1st map, we read a file and echoed the input of the file to the second map. In the second map, this file was recreated in the output card.

It looks like, Unix doesn't like this. Windows is doing this without any problem.

We changed it the following way: we are not touching the file in the first map but only in the 2nd map and not as echo but as file input.

Thanks again

Christian
