Hi Gang

My exchange server is playing up again. Exchange services fail to start and I am given the error message 1053.

Which means that there is no e-mail and as as Exchange is intergrated into SBS 2003, I can't manage users either!

Does anyone know of a quick fix?

Many thanks

More info and I think I've sorted it out.

My satellite box has two public facing addresses. One for the kit and one for the PC that plugs into it - there is only 1 ethernet port.

So, I plugged a switch into it thinking that it was a DHCP server but alas, no.

As the server is currently a DHCP Client, it goes out looking for an address and it cannot find a DHCP Server. Plug it into the old kit and it works fine. New kit - nada.

So what's the solution, Dave?

Buy a Cable 4 port wireless modem and plug that into the ethernet port. That gives me connectivity to the sat box and a network on the other side. With a firewall in the middle - which is nice!

Any other comments are gratefully appreciated.
