Error 1000 Every 5 Mins

I keep getting the error 1000
Windows cannot query for the list of Group Policy objects . A message that describes the reason for this was previously logged by this policy engine.

i have tryed eventid.net but it was no help the problem still happens,

the error is also folowed by error 1000
Windows cannot establish a connection to dgihereford.co.uk with (1787).

I get the same message on a Windows XP Professional workstation connected to a Windows 2000 server

Have you tried looking at Microsoft Knowledge base, article Q290647 entitled "Event ID 1000,1001 Logged Every 5 Min in Application Event Log"

looks like a replication error, are you replicating with other Win2k Domain Controllers?
