Hi Guys,

I get the error message 0781-375 and IBM website say i need to update the bos.printers and bos.rte.printers file.

Does anyone know where I can download the newest version of those files. I could not find it on IBM website.

Thanks in advance.

If you install the latest maintenance level for the version of OS you have, those files will be updated. Which version of the OS do you have?

I am running AIX 4.3.3 with maintenance level 9.

Hi AIXuser53

When did you get the error message. Can you mention the
command in this forum you used?

Did you check the version of bos.rte.printers file set ?
as it is integrated in aix software...I believe it should be
4.3.3.0. Anyway check with this command
#lslpp -l|grep "bos.rte.printers"

bos.printers updation as error message shows is not at all required ...In aix4.3.3 it doesn't exist.
Also you can apply maintenance level 10 and see that the issue will be addressed.
My aix system oslevel 4.3.3.0 and maintenance level:10
I never got that type of problem.
Please provide me with answers for my two questions.
Then I can strongly recommend you to install pm level 10..

*****************************************************

here is the output for lslpp -l|grep "bos.rte.printers"

bos.rte.printers 4.3.3.75 COMMITTED Front End Printer Support
bos.rte.printers 4.3.3.0 COMMITTED Front End Printer Support

Thank you

Hi AIXuser

The problem is due to file set

bos.rte.printers 4.3.3.0 COMMITTED Front End
Printer Support only

other file set is fine..

You should have file set level 4.3.3.78...for updation
So you have go for PM level 10.

Then you will be okay...!
