ERR057 -- on a specific TN

Hi Team,

I am getting Err057 on a TN, after which phone is getting disabled, i tried to disable & enable Tn but phone was still down.

This Phone is a critical user phone and i cont delay this issue.

Request you to please suggest some solution.Below is the Error i have received

stuck key, spill on set possibly shorted keys, something is sending multi-cast key presses to system, and too many will disable set. replace set if user does not have stuck key, or something engaging a key..

and if it's not the set, it's the port.. a spill usually results in err080.. but since it's disabled, stuck key would send repeated digits... fyi.. enable a set then do a trac instead of a stat.. may help you find the problem sooner.

Bad cable or intermittent wiring shorts will also cause ERR057 errors.

Also, to expand on others responses (and from personal experiences), dropping a 3900 set off a desk can also cause these errors.

Hi Friends,

I have replaced phone and its working now, but earlier phone was also a new one and its strange that these new sets ever give problems.

Phone model is M2008 -- little old phone but here we still are using them.

Send the phone back to the guys you bought it from. Tell them to stop selling untested junk. Most resellers are pretty good, but there a few jerks out there.
