We receive ERR 049 throughout the day. I know the error comes from our ACD sets. What I thought was causing it is not the case. I would be interested in someone else’s interpretation of this error. All comments are appreciated.

ERR0049
The Terminal Number is in unplugged state (locked out), so it cannot
process a force answered call. The system puts the associated set into
Make Set Busy state.
Plug in the set. If the set is still out of service, check the wiring.
Severity: Minor


 
What did you think was causing it? Looks like the ACD
queue(s) in question is using Call Force. If you don't need Call Force you could turn it off in the ACD queue(s) and see if that stops the error.

Does the TN respond if you do a IDU on it? Maybe you have a TN programmed up but no set on it.
 
Well I set the scenerio up here in my office and unplugged the phone while a call was ringing in and that did not generate the error. I checked the queue and no call forcing. I also put the phone in MSB while a call was ringing and that did not generate it either.

Our vocie mail ports and some ACD customer phones generate this and I thought maybe it was because of call forcing . If I could duplicate on an actual set I can figure out why this is happening to our ports as well. But I cant duplicate it.
 
Sounds like a patch might be needed. Are the PEPS up to date? I did a search for ERR0049 on Nortel's Knowledge Base and it didn't come back with any solutions. Is this something that just started happening or has it been an ongoing problem for a while?

been happening for aboWhen we changed our voice mail ports from a regular hunt to an ACD about 7 months ago so I would say it started then
 
Try putting FLXA in the CLS, your device that emulates the phones is not fooling the switch.
