We are running a WS4 with 9700 HMS version 4.0.1.0.0 and an Epson TM-T88V running off of the IDN interface. I've configured the printer in the EMC along with the WS4, which can connect to the database and print just fine. However, I am seeing an issue where the printer is extremely slow and jerks a bit when printing. Does anyone have a potential solution for this?

Sounds like you need to increase the baud rate for the serial connection. Do you know how to get into the hardware config on the WS4? (Top left, right, left corners, enter access code, etc....) .. Once in the menu, go do configuration, then EXT/IDN .. Select 38400 for the baud rate (it's likely set to 9600). Once you do that and save, toggle the dip switches on the back of the printer so that numbers 4 & 6 are ON. All others should be OFF. Power cycle the printer and restart the workstation. Do a test print and see if that corrects the issue.
