Hi Community,

I spend over 3 hours of my time to get this printer working. Maybe one of you have a idea how the problem could be.

Hardware:
Epson TM-T88IV with Ethernet Interface
IP: 192.168.10.70
Subnet: 255.255.255.0
Gateway IP: 192.168.10.1

I added in MICROS RES 3700 unter Device this Printer.
Device Type: Roll Printer
Network Node: 99 MICROS SERVER

Printer definition:

Network Interface: TCP/IP Interface
Printer Type: Epson TM-T88 Express Termal

Printer interface:
IP Adress:port : 192.168.10.70:9100

I can access the printer interface / configuraton over the ip 192.168.10.70 but my MICROS Station tells me every time the printer is not availaible and print on the backup printer. Did I need print drivers on the workstation or shout the system works without? Becauce my TM-T220 works without problems and with no additional configuration.

Kind regards
Simon

You don't have to load drivers for that model printer, there's just something that isn't configured correctly.

Is this being used as a check printer? If so, go into the workstation setup (POS Configurator, Devices tab, User Workstations button), go to the Printers tab and make sure you have this printer selected in the dropdowns for Check, Receipt, Report, Credit Card, Time Chit and Time Card printers.

Thanks pmegan for your help.

I found the problem it was a simply DIP Switch Setting.

For the TM-T88IV System and MICROS POS 3700 I changed the settings.

DIP Switch 1: 7 ON / all other OFF
DIP Switch 2: 2 and 8 ON and the other OFF

Works like a charm with the settings in my first post. I aldo changed the Network Node to one of my workstations instead of the micros server.

Hope this post also help some users with the same problem.

Kind regards
Simon
