I recently purchased a new Brother HL-5140 laser printer. Now when I use my Epson Perfection 1240U scanner to make photocopies using Epson's Copy Utility v2.00A software, I get a squashed image printed. It's the correct width but only half high. I have spent a lot of time attempting to adjust parameters in the Copy Utility to avail. My previous NEC Superscript 870 laser printer printed copys with this software and scanner perfectly. What's going on???

Are they connected to separate ports, and not 'daisy chained'?

Did you try uninstalling and reinstalling the scanner's software?

Did you check for updated software and/or patches at the Epson site to address this problem?

PRINTER = PARALLEL PORT
SCANNER = USB

NOT YET, WILL TRY.

Did you check for updated software and/or patches at the Epson site to address this problem?

I HAVE THE LATEST AND GREATEST(?) SOFTWARE & DRIVERS.

The iCarbon program, as suggested by bcastner in the link above, works great!

I like iCarbon very much too. It is one of those simple freeware utilities that mean so much.
I have the same scanner as you.
