After replacing the cartridges in an Epson Stylus C82 printer, it only prints blank pages. The cartridges were replaced because the originals were low on ink. I've done the troubleshooting that Epson suggests on their website, but still nothing prints. Any suggestions?
I have the same problem on my C60. My suggestion is to uninstall the printer and software, change the cartridge, then install the printer again. I havnt tried that yet but it might just work. It has something to do with their crappy software that recognizes the ink levels.
Also make sure you take off the sticker on cartridge.
I had this problem. The Epson ink charging pump has a tube that attaches to the bottom of the cartridge tray. Myut I tube became clogged and popped off the fitting. What a pain in the USB PORT to fix that. I had to dismantle part of the printer and clean the head cleaning system by flushing it with water in the sink. TechnicianOne might be able to perform this, but an MIS guy..... I don't know. Even after I made the repair, the tube only lasted 2 more INK CHARGING jobs before it popped off again. I like the C82 but I think this is a design flaw that the tube can become clogged so easily. After doing this repair I found a local service center that said they would fix it for $35. That would be my suggestion. Oh yea, Cleaning the print heads through the software only compounds the clog problem.
Yes, after a search on the Internet I found numerous complaints about this model and the tube that comes loose preventing suction to disperse the ink. Now, why the engineers didn't design it with a clamp, who knows, guess they figured they don't have to fix these things. Anyway, I've been given two of these printers, the first one I attempted to clamp with wire ties, but I just don't have the hand dexterity to do it right, so I gave up, especially after a little spring shot out of the printer and I couldn't find it. Go ahead you can laugh. The second one I have no intention to work on. Any one want two Epson C82 Stylus printers? A year old, with new ink cartridges, one missing a spring...
we have had this problem before with Epson printers. even with new. we tore a printhead apart to understand how it works, and its a very simple mechanism. On ours, we discovered its the ink that has become dry in the printhead tubes. We refilled the ink cartridge from the bottom port with 1 oz. of appropriate colour ink, and performed the clean page..it worked.

I don't want to sound stupid, however I need to ask -- I didn't do much printer work for my A+ -- couldn't it be flushed with alcohol, until it's open, then flushed with ink? I would think that the alcohol (Isopropal, not booze although I have to admit the latter is tempting) might break the clog up quicker.

Keep trying no matter how hard it seems it will get easier
With A+ training, we have found one afternoon of class training on printers is not enough..thats why we are subcontract by computer people to work on printers..its all we do.
For the epson? Water...

unless the Epson printer is a large format or above $200 or more, then its worthwhile. Strangely, we find the printheads on the very expensive Epsons are similar to the cheapy printers, its the the ink cartridges that are worth it that make the job worth the effort.
