epso service not starting

Hi all

we had epo 2.0 running on BDC controller, of the administrators changed the password admin for the Domain, since then epo service will not start. I have upgraded to ver 2.5, and then up sp1.

After completing this procedure and still have the smae problem of the service not starting.

any ideas really appreciated

Change the account that the ePO service uses to start. Try using the LocalSystem account since it shouldn't have any other use except for starting the service.

Make sure you're not running IIS on the same server. If you are, disable/stop the default web server.

I had kind of the same problem but with SQL 2000 service. I changed the passoword that the service uses to start and the password in the service itself didn't change. Double check if the account that ePO uses to start the service matches the new password. Good luck!

THNKS A LOT FOR ALL ADVICE, I HAVE TRIED CHANGING PASSWORD ON SERIVE ACCOUTN STILL WITH SAME PROBLEM , ANY OTHER SUGGESTIONS
