Im running ePO 3.01 succesfully on several sites, however I have a problem on one of them:

I rolled out the ePO agents to my workstations. Winnt 4 workstation SP6a.

In this particulair site, an agent installation via ePO server is by far the easiest solution for us. However when I do this, I get an error on about 25% of the systems.

When the workstations start up, (the 25% that have the problem) get "the Framework service hangs on starting.". THese systems also regulary get Drwatson in Vsstat.exe

Most of the problems are solved when I do this: NAI35182. This suggest the following:
-----------------------------------------------
Start Registry Editor (REGEDT32).

Navigate to the following registry key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\McAfeeFramework

In the right pane of the Registry Editor window, double-click the value 'DependOnService'.

In the Multi-String Editor dialog box, add the following services under Data:

LanmanWorkstation
NetBIOS

Click 'OK'.

Quit Registry Editor and restart the computer.
----------------------------------------------

THis basically means I can't send an agent install to my 1500+ machines, unless I add that registry key.

Anyone seen this before? Or have perhaps an easier solution?

What about the Vsstat.exe Drwatson? Anyone seen those before?

Ooow. overwhelming replies.

Let me rephrase my question a little simpler:

Has anyone seen problems with VSstat.exe when shutting down (nt4) systems?
